JazzrockTV #124 – MSM Schmidt „Life“
The 6th album “Life” by MSM Schmidt got released in 2017. The album has been produced by Jimmy Haslip and is another masterpiece of fusion music. The Who’s Who of fusion stars is appearing on this production – like Dave Weckl, Mitchel Forman, Jerry Goodman, Mike Miller, Bob Mintzer, MonoNeon, Virgil Donati and many more.
Additionally Allan Holdsworth performed on 2 tracks. As he passed away shortly after the production this might be the last studio recordings which makes this album even more special and unique.
We met Michael “MSM” Schmidt at his Studio and talked about the development and production of the album “Life”. He also exclusively presented some single tracks to listen to by Allan Holdsworth and Virgil Donati.
